It’s common knowledge that stress, the sun, and your genes can cause you to age before you’re due, but what about your diet? Jumia Food, Nigeria’s no 1 food ordering platform, shares the foods you should avoid if you want to stay looking vibrant and youthful.

Dairy products

People might age quicker when they eat dairy products. Therefore, it’s important to take note of adverse reactions and make a change if necessary. Dairy foods can cause some individuals to get skin reactions, such as eczema, itchy red and patches on the skin. They can also exacerbate these skin issues and, often times, when you eliminate dairy from your diet, the skin improves.

High-fat proteins

A little bit of fat is good for you, but it’s important to enjoy it in moderation, since it can have a negative impact on your body, particularly on your skin. After eating a dinner that’s high in sodium, you’ll likely wake up the next morning looking puffy-faced because having an overdose of salt causes you to retain water. That’s why it is recommended that you steer clear of too much salt the evening before or the morning of a big presentation at work.

Alcohol

To retain its firmness and elasticity, your skin needs proper hydration. Drinking alcohol can make you sleepy at first, but there’s a rebound effect later on that can prevent good quality sleep. One or two drinks are fine, but more than that also puts a strain on the liver, which can make it difficult for the body to detox.

Sugary drinks

Sugary drinks aren’t only bad for your health, but they also do damage to your teeth. Having a bad tooth will make you appear older than you are. There are so many sugar substitutes out there. Hence it is not difficult to avoid it. You have to be determined.

Red meat

A diet high in red meat can also make you look older than your years. That’s because they contain saturated fats that can make you age faster. Overconsumption of saturated fats, especially when they are combined with high sugar foods, will contribute to inflammation.

Funny how one vision how lives would be viewed after certain decisions are made to opt out of what we try to hope for ourselves as humans who want nothing but to have a safe and fulfilled haven without feeling traumatized or having to look over one's shoulder. It is logical to say that we are not looking at the bigger picture or are we even sure we know what we want to be happy? Each time I wake up I see myself as an individual who wants to make the best of his life at the same time trying to make the world a better place to live in. if you are reading this and you still don’t get where I am headed then this is not for you to ponder on. For starters, I feel we have a chance to do well and get whatever best possible life we wish for but are we determined to get out of bed to do what is necessary at all. I am not trying to make this about me but about what is left of the whole world as it faces human error most of the time and should I say that we might never be around for the evolution that is being talked about. Sure certain decisions are made to make us not to worry about what goes on in the world but should that not be a wakeup call for us to find out what we did wrong and how we can fix the situation at hand.

Power, money, greed, destruction is what seems to be looking me in the face most times I read what is left of the news. We have a right to be heard and to know what is happening in other countries so to speak. But at times I don’t think everyone feels the same way I feel. Yes, we all believe in one entity but are we really going to watch and stand down and look the other way and pretend we didn’t see this coming. After all this time where are we going with this? Don’t we care about the human race or are we so blind to see what is right in front of us? This might be gibberish to read about but am sure this makes sense in most ways. Humans are given the chance to rule and make reasonable decisions but how we go about the decision is what worries me the most. People don’t know who or what they are fighting for. So long it is a just course. Have we ever put others above ourselves, the answer to that question is “NO”? We are so wrapped up in our own selfish cynical ways to even fathom the idea of putting other first. The words just keep coming out without me thinking about it and for the first time I feel relieved that am saying something that could make the whole world see reason and see things from my perspective. If you ever have the chance to save this world of ours and your option is to write about it, so be it, quotes and words would have been the killer statement for this article but I will let you see this as my voice to the whole human race and say we have to make the world a better place for our generation to live in.

Renting an apartment to people can serve as a decent source of income. However, just like every other form of business, renting a house out to people, has its challenges. The primary challenge often faced by a landlord, is the type of tenant you accept. There are great tenants who you will love to rent your house to, for as long as they wish. There are also some tenants who will put you in all sorts of troubles and worries.

Every landlord does not want a bad tenant, and they can be avoided. So the question now is, how you can get good tenants, rather than bad tenants. This article is meant to answer your question, but before doing that, I want to point out something. First and foremost, we have to talk about who a good tenant is. There are two characteristics of a good tenant. We will list these two primary characteristics, then add another characteristic.

Who is a Good Tenant?
1. A Tenant Who Will Pay As At When Due
One of the primary characteristics of a good tenant is that they pay as at when due. They do not come up with excuses nor play cunning games.

2. A Tenant Who Will Not Spoil Your House
Another thing that qualifies a tenant as being good is that they do not spoil a house. Spoil as used here means two things. It refers to dirtiness and carelessness. Good tenants are those who will take good care of your house, and avoid damaging items out of carelessness.

3. A Tenant Who Is Peaceful
Ensuring that your tenant is peaceful is a great step. A good tenant will not get involved in fights which can send fellow tenants packing.

Ways To Get Good Tenants
After taking a look at some characteristics of a good tenant, Let's also attempt to look at some ways of getting good tenants, rather than the bad ones.

1. Research a Tenant’s Background
Doing some research before accepting anyone into your house is highly recommended. Here, you are required to contact the person’s former landlord and ask about the tenant’s history. Former landlords will be able to tell you about the tenant. If the person is also employed somewhere, you should contact their employer, asking about their history, their job, and other necessary information.

2. Meet Your Tenant in Person
This is something that is often overlooked by landlords. Meeting your tenant in person is very important. You are not just going to meet them; you meet them to perceive the kind of person they are. Meeting them can enable you to pick up bad traits that a tenant has. Imagine a tenant who was having a drink while taking him around the house. When he finished having his drink, he tossed the container over to a corner of your house. That is a sign of bad tenant. Such signals are warning signals. Seeing your tenant in person can help you pick up warning signals.

3. Avoid Being In Haste
A lot of landlords have fallen prey of this. Being in haste is very detrimental to your business. Haste is dangerous to all forms of business. It can make you can make wrong
decisions. Always try to avoid being in haste whenever you want to rent out a house.
